Our journey to build a new home began in February 2015. We wanted to build a home on family property located on Stevens Chapel Road in Smithfield, NC. My wife Renee grew up there and we both went to high school with Randy Summerlin. Renee’s family had watched Randy and his business grow from the beginning, so we decided to schedule an appointment to talk to him about building our home.
What a blessing that was from the beginning. We knew what we wanted to build, discussed those ideas with Randy and he took it from there. Randy had plans drafted up for our review in a very short time period. Randy Summerlin is very professional but also such a kind and down to earth person. We felt so comfortable talking with him and letting him help us and guide us through this building process.
Randy started building our house in March 2015. Building a house is usually such a stressful time but can honestly say that we did not experience any of that. Randy was a master of having a schedule and made sure that everyone followed it on time. When Randy told us that something was going to happen, it did unless weather was a factor. The entire process went very smoothly due to Randy’s knowledge, hard work and experience in the building profession. Several people commented on how fast our house was completed. Randy and his wife both came by frequently checking on the progress, and making sure the site was clean during the entire building process.
We moved into our new house in August 2015. We absolutely love our new home and will be forever thankful for having Randy to build it for us. Randy is very knowledgeable in what he does and never cut corners during the entire building process. We are very blessed to have had such a professional to build our house but most importantly, we know he is a dear friend.
